| Amendments to Treaty and Notes | Taiwan as the "Republic of China" occupied the China seat at the UN from 1949 to 25 October 1971.
In a joint communique with the People's Republic of china on 21 December 1972, Australia acknowledged Taiwan ti be a province of the People's republic of china.
